Dr. Richard Marn graduated from University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine (2000) and completed a surgery internship at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, residency in anesthesiology at NYU and Bellevue Medical Center (NYC, NY), and pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore, MD) before serving for 11 years as one of Mt. Sinai Hospital’s Assistant Professors in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pediatrics. While at Mt. Sinai he founded and served as Co-Director of the Division of Radiologic Anesthesiology, and was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2008. Since 2016, Dr. Marn has been in private practice specializing in dental office sedations, especially for children, throughout New York. Dr. Marn is Double Board- Certified in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology, Society of Ambulatory Anesthesia, International Anesthesia Research Society, Society of Pediatric Anesthesia, and New York State Society of Anesthesiologists. He has served as a previous PALS instructor and AAAASF surveyor. Dr. Marn speaks extensively on the subjects of medical emergency effectiveness, dental office safety, team building, and sedation and general anesthesia. Dr. Marn will be speaking at the Greater New York Dental Meeting (GNYDM) on November 28, 2022 about Medical Emergencies.
