Dr. Gary Badger is the Chairman of the Pediatric Dentistry Department at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston (UTSD). He received his D.D.S. degree from the Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. and his M.S. degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Badger provides didactic lectures for the post doctoral residents and predoctoral students while maintaining a mentoring activity for clinical experiences in the residency program. Dr. Badger is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and serves as an examiner for the oral portion of the American Board. He is a recipient of the Dean’s Academy Small Grants Program (2014), the UT Kenneth I. Shine Academy of Health Science Small Grants Program (2014) and the American Dental Association Samuel D. Harris Fund for Children’s Dental Health (2014). He has a didactic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC and has served as the Consultant to the Army Surgeon General.
