Jacy Stauffer, DMD is a full-time Attending with NYU Langone Dental Medicine's Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry at the San Diego training site. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. After graduating from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, Dr. Stauffer pursued a General Practice Residency at Rhode Island Hospital, focusing on adults and children with special health care needs. She then obtained a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY (now NYU Langone Dental Medicine Postdoctoral Residency Programs). Dr. Stauffer worked in a private group practice setting before embarking on full-time academia; first teaching at NYU Langone Dental Medicine’s Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry Program, Maryland, followed by her faculty position at the San Diego, CA site where she teaches today.
Dr. Stauffer excels in treating the medically complex patient population at Rady Children’s Hospital (San Diego, CA). She fosters resident research activities and contributes to various projects with an emphasis on pediatric obstructive sleep apnea. She also serves as the pediatric dentist for the Complex Sleep Apnea Clinic at Rady Children’s Hospital. Dr. Stauffer lectures widely on the multidisciplinary management of pediatric obstructive sleep apnea and minimally invasive pediatric dentistry.
