Learning Objectives:

• describe the etiology, pathophysiology and current medical management of selected conditions;
• describe the necessary modifications in the dental treatment plan of the pediatric patient with special health care needs
• describe the oral manifestations of the acute and chronic childhood diseases, health conditions and disabilities, and the medical therapies used for the care of these children;
